I don't know about you, but today, I could use a pick-me-up and what better kind than chocolate covered?
Yup, this pictures gives sweet tooth a whole new meaning.
Well, not only is a Monday, it's the first day of a new month! I've set my goals for the month, some of them a little scarier than others, and taken stock of what I did and didn't get accomplished last month.
Later this month I will be participating in Egg-cerpt with the awesome Anita Philmar and Tina Gayle among others. This is a time, between the 17th and Easter, when we will post excerpts of our books on each other's websites. If you'd like to join in, please drop me a line.
This month, Harlequin will have had my short for 8 months... I'm really hoping to hear a yea or a nay (let's hope for a yea) so I can get the ball rolling.
I'm also planning to sub my novella this month. I should be writing that query now... which is probably why this post is so long. *wink*
This month is also Valentines day and to celebrate, the men I feature on Mondays will be especially yummy (note the chocolate, ladies--or is it that mesmerizing gaze that caught your attention?) I will also be posting a few tid-bits on romance and asking for your hints, tricks or advice. I mean who better to give advice on romance than romance writers, right?
I'd also like to start spotlighting authors on my blog. I've kinda fallen behind on the Coming soon and just released announcements. (sorry) If you'd like me to interview you and showcase your newest release, let me know!
So what are you doing for Valentines Day? Are any of you single like me? (I fully plan to buy myself flowers and candy, thank you very much) If not, do you have special plans with your significant other? What are your goals for the month? Do you feel like we're playing 20 questions?
Okay, I'll stop now. Back to the query.

Well, I am not single... although sometimes I feel that way. Hubby just started a turn-around where he will be working 7 days a week/12 hours days. So there goes my Valentine's Day. I will most probably spend it with my Mom and my daughter.
And yea, worst come to worst... I buy my own too!
One of my favorite photos...so yummy! That's Matthias Strietweiser, who died way too young last year.
Cecile, I'm sorry about your Valentines. That's a severe work schedule! I hope your day is filled with many reminders of love!
Helen,
I should have known you'd know who he was. You are the queen of hunks. : )
I'm sorry to hear he passed away. That's sad.
Lynne, thanks for the Monday pick-me-up. I'm single so I really don't celebrate Valentines day. Like you with the new month starting, I reviewed last months goals to see what I did and didn't do, and set this months goals.
Good luck with the query - I have to write one of those soon.
Chocolate? What chocolate? Oh, yeah... The excerpt thing sounds like a fabulous idea. Will look forward to it. What line at Harlequin did you submit to BTW?
Valentines Day? Alas, I am married by a hubby who believes it all to be commerical drivel. I'd be more upset if he didn't come through for birthdays or anniversaries, but I get THE BEST presents and they are always so thoughtful and just right. Can't complain :)
Goals?! I've started to map mine monthly. Very specifically. Worked pretty well for January. I'm publishing them on the blog and anyone who wants to can make me accountable. LOL
I LOVE that picture! YUM. Kudos to you for seeting goals. You're smart. Mine are set, Finish edits, get WIp out, and write first chapter of the next wip.
Since Valentine's Day is Sunday this year, DH and I might go shopping. Our son is getting married in March (outside of state).
I am married to scrooge so he never buys me anything like that. If I want chocolate I have to obtain it on my own.
Flowers too!
Marie, good luck on your query too! Thanks for stopping by.
Kaily, LOL. I subbed to Harlequin Spice. Kudos to your hubby on birthday, anniversary presents... he's right about the commercial aspect, but what holiday isn't? I still buy Christmas presents. : )
Autumn, Thank you and congratulations on your goals and your son's impending marriage. All of my children are still too young, but I'm already nervous when I think about it.
Mary, a Valentines day Scrooge! At least when you buy them yourself, you know you're getting exactly what you want, right?
Thank you all for stopping by today!
I love Mattias. He's one of my favorites actually. So sad.
Goals? Oh, I have nothing but goals. I'm trying to knock a couple off the list this week.
Good luck with all you have going on...the Egg-cerpts sound fun. ;D
I won't even delve into my goals, ;-) But suffice it to say, there are many.
*crosses fingers* for query at HQN!
